A family-run lodge of wooden cabins with a wildlife refuge on the same grounds. Its night frog tour is one of the best known in the area: the family has spent years planting the garden so the frogs come on their own.

What to expect
- Eleven cabins: ten bungalows and one villa for groups or families.
- Rustic and wooden, with a fan, wardrobe, desk and fridge; private bathroom with bath, shower and hairdryer.
- All of them face the garden and the volcano.
- It is about 3 km from the centre of La Fortuna.
Additional information
- On the grounds there is a wild frog sanctuary: at least 28 species live in its ponds.
- The night tour follows easy trails with a guide, looking for what comes out after dark. It is one of the best known in the area.
- The lodge arranges volcano hikes, horseback riding, birdwatching and rafting.
