About The Butterfly Conservatory
A conservation project in El Castillo, on the volcano's slope: several domes recreate different habitats — lowlands, highland forest, forest edge — and inside them local butterflies fly at every stage of their life. There is also a medicinal plant garden, a river trail and a frog house. It is quiet and works well with children.
