What to expect
- Thermal pools stepped down the hillside with a head-on volcano view, five restaurants and six bars inside the resort.
- You can arrive from 8 in the morning and stay until it closes at 10 at night.
- Down by the Arenal river is Club Rio: tubing, inflatable kayaking, horseback riding, climbing and rappelling, fishing and nature tours.
What is included
- Access to the hot springs and pools for two consecutive days, not one.
- Parking, lockers and towels.
- Access to the resort restaurants and bars; food and drinks are paid separately.
Additional information
- Day pass: about 125 dollars plus 13% tax, the same rate for adults and for children aged 3 to 12.
- The rescued animal sanctuary inside Club Rio costs extra.
- The pass covering two consecutive days is what makes it add up: you use an afternoon and the next morning.
